Lookbook – Neologism – Fall Winter 2014

Shrekahnth’s “Neologism,” Fall Winter 2014 lookbook, combines futuristic fashion with urban landscapes. A highly skilled team in Dubai’s Atelier created this ready-to-wear collection. The collection was shot in Berlin, Germany. It highlights the city’s unique architectural, industrial design and sci-fi film-inspired aura.

Futuristic fashion with prints and structured styles brings a unique creative collection. It carries new patterns and drapes to describe the science fiction style. This collection draws inspiration from iconic films. It includes Metropolis, a 1927 German sci-fi classic by Fritz Lang. It also features Ridley Scott’s masterpiece, Blade Runner.

This line features luxuriant silks in visually appealing patterns through fluting and traditional tailoring. Unlike sci-fi costumes, the collection is simply pragmatic for wear. Digital prints by Shrekahnth are a collection of experimental pieces that draw inspiration from cinema.

About the Collection

A standout style of the collection and best seller is a short, circular silk dress. It has electric blues and neon greens. The dress features layered Neon calligraphy and a printed hem inspired by Berlin architecture. Another standout style features a kimono-sleeve kaftan. It has gold and ice blue geometric prints, patchwork details, and an olive-green silk hemline.

A key feature of the collection is a style with a 4-inch shiny silver beaded strip in the center of a Thobe-style dress. This hand beading adds space-age silver and structure to the soft silhouette. The collection blends modern digital prints with traditional handcraft techniques.

Editorial and Visual Elements of the Lookbook presents the collection as an illustrated story. Photographers shot models against blue sci-fi backgrounds and stylized props. These components highlight the futuristic idea but don’t overshadow the apparel design. One view shows a model seated on a sculptural couch. This look resembles the set design for sci-fi movies like Blade Runner.

Every appearance relates to a larger narrative. Futuristic fashion combines architecture, movement, and film with clothing styles. Every garment highlights the brand’s attention to the most minor details.

This collection highlights a desire to create stories. Neologism incorporates luxury silks and prints with unique variations, producing a visual language that transcends fashion. It encourages viewers to explore an almost endless creative universe. This combination of several artistic disciplines starts a vibrant conversation.
